Our Teaching Philosophy

Kindergarteners enrolled at Campus School spend a considerable part of the first year in the company of pumpkins. It begins in the fall, when the class journeys to a local garden patch to choose squashes for study.

When Campus School students study the Montgomery Bus Boycott, they master historical facts and trace the timeline of events, learn the names of civil rights leaders, and read a biography of Rosa Parks.

As the lab school of Smith College, we welcome student teachers into our classrooms to supplement their education coursework with practical experience.

Wednesday Afternoon Program

The Wednesday Afternoon Program is available for an additional fee to children in grades kindergarten through six from noon up to 4:45 p.m.
